Setting up your business in the UAE is easier when you know exactly what you need and how long it takes. Here’s a quick, fun guide!

Documents Required for Incorporation

  • Choice of Area: Freezone or Mainland? Choose your playground.
  • Passport Copies: Scanned copies of all shareholders’ passports (first 2 pages, all 4 corners visible). Must be valid for 6+ months.
  • Passport-Size Photo: High-res (600dpi minimum) with a white background.
  • Emirates ID & eResidency Copy: For UAE residents.
  • Proposed Share Capital & Share Value: Detail your financial plan.
  • Trade Name Options: Three choices, in order of preference.
  • Business Activities: As per your selected package.

Documents for Visa Applications

  • Shareholders’ Religion: Required for the visa.
  • Residential Address: Home country and current residence.
  • Family Details: Full names of each shareholder's mother and father.
  • Marital Status: Must be provided.

Estimated Timelines for Freezone Incorporation

  • Pre-Approval (if needed): 3-5 working days
  • License Process: 5-7 working days
  • Immigration Card: 5-7 working days
  • Entry Permit: 4-5 working days
  • EID & Medical Test: 1 working day
  • eResidency Issue (Visa Stamping): 4-5 working days
  • Physical Emirates ID Card: 3 working days
  • Business Bank Account: 3-20 working days
